Quit Your Meanness! Will you "quit your meanness"? Speaking the truth, as I am doing here, is not being mean. Instead, it is quite the opposite. It is very loving to tell people the truth, by trying to get them to repent so they can be forgiven by a loving Jesus for their wicked sins. On the other hand, trying to destroy someone else who dares to speak the truth is very, very mean. Quit your meanness! Satan very much hates those who preach the truth. Not surprisingly, those who hate God's truth will generally also hate those who preach God's truth. Jesus said that the servant is not greater than his master. Those who hate Jesus will hate his servants as well. There are some people who hate others because they get some kind of "kick" out of being cruel. In fact, there are many people around the world who love violence. They love to watch violence on pay-per-view television. They love to watch and support violent, R-rated movies. They love cruelty. God, however, is not cruel. God sees everything. He knows when a sparrow falls to the ground. God is Love. Those who have "Agape" love know God. Those without such Agape love are lost, no matter how many "good works" they do. Even if such lost people get up in the middle of the night to do such works, they are still very much lost if they have not love. Even if they are Pastors or Deacons in a church, if they have not the love and Spirit of Christ, then they have not Christ. After the resurrection, Jesus came to Peter, and Jesus asked Peter if he loved Him. Peter said "Yes Lord". Jesus told him to therefore feed Jesus' flock of believers. One cannot say that he loves God and yet he hates his neighbor. Are you a Christian? If so, do you love other Christians? Quit your meanness! Perhaps you are only deceived into thinking that you are a Christian. Perhaps you love yourself and care not for other people. Even worse, perhaps you are mean and cruel to Christians and other people. Do you work night and day trying to destroy other people? Do you have true Agape Christian love? Or, are you instead "religious but lost"? The Bible reminds us: "We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren". (1 John 3:14) You cannot fake true Agape Christian Love. If you are mean to others, it is because you do not love them. If you lack love and yet were to deliver your body to be burned, then such an act would profit you nothing. You would still go to Hell because your lack of love for others would prove that you are still lost and on the road to Hell. Loving God and loving your neighbor as yourself are the two basic laws of God. Quit your meanness! Do you stay up late at night, perhaps even until 2:00, 3:00, or 4:00 a.m. hoping to hurt a Christian? Are you a computer hacker? Are you an Internet burglar or some other kind of Judas-like thief? Such people who hate Christians are the enemies of Christ. Perhaps you do not go to such a great length to be mean to a true Christian or to other person. Nevertheless, if you have not love, it appears that you have not Christ. You are either lost or terribly, terribly backslidden. Either way, you need very much to repent and come and trust Jesus so that He may cover your sins in His precious blood. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
